About Us
Samaritan Caucus Africa (SCA) is a consultancy think tank based in Nairobi Kenya. The organization’s mandate and work reflect the contemporary global geopolitical realities that contribute to human security issues facing Kenya and Africa at large. Further, the Forum is focused towards achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals together with Agenda 2063 of the African Union.
Consequently, the institute aims to strategically impact and influence the seven security areas: politics, economics, environment, health, food, personal and community components of the state. The forum projects to achieve its set goals and objective through applied research on various phenomena in the fields of security, defense, foreign policy, peace-building, governance, statecraft, regional integration, conflict prevention, management and resolution, as well as cross-border contacts in Africa.
We embrace collaborative intersectional model that appreciates the interconnectedness of human security issues today. SCA is committed to working with various stakeholders and actors including governments, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and humanitarian aid agencies in an endeavor to ensure a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Africa.

Produce high-quality, evidence-based research that addresses critical global challenges and informs policy decisions for a sustainable, peaceful, and inclusive world. This is to be achieved through our thematic areas to ensure our studies directly address critical human security challenges, thereby informing effective policy decisions. Publish research outcomes in open-access journals, policy briefs, and digital repositories to enhance accessibility and dissemination of our work.
Support the development of skills of emerging leaders , policymakers, and experts through training, knowledge exchange, and fostering a culture of innovation and critical thinking. Launch fellowships, internships, and mentorship programs designed for emerging leaders. Organize workshops and training sessions focusing on innovation, critical thinking, and policy advocacy. Develop peer-learning networks and discussion forums to facilitate ongoing knowledge sharing. Collaborate with universities and research centers to design curricula and short courses. Sponsor research competitions, hackathons, and innovation challenges to stimulate creative solutions.

Facilitate cross-sectoral and cross-border dialogues to ensure diverse perspectives are integrated into the development of solutions to threats to human security. This is to be achieved through organized regular roundtables, webinars, and panel discussions that bring together diverse stakeholders.

SCA will translate its research findings into concise policy briefs and white papers that provide clear, actionable recommendations for decision-makers, thereby driving measurable policy change. SCA will organize targeted policy roundtables with key stakeholders to discuss and refine these recommendations, ensuring their practical implementation. SCA will establish feedback mechanisms to monitor the impact of its work and adjust its strategies based on real-world outcomes.
Shape and contribute to global conversations on critical issues, advancing knowledge-sharing and building consensus for transformative action. Regularly publish op-eds, blog posts, and articles on pressing human security challenges. SCA will actively participate in international conferences, summits, and forums to share our research insights, thus influencing global policy debates. Leverage social media to broaden our audience to ensure that our ideas reach and engage a global community.
