Regional Security and Integration in the Horn of Africa and Great Lakes region.
Regional Security and Integration is at the core of stakeholders’ strategies for promoting human security in the HoA and Great Lakes regions. SCA will promote the above by developing and promoting actionable, research-backed policy recommendations that drive positive change in key areas such as peace, security, climate resilience, and sustainable development. Additionally, facilitate cross-sectoral and cross-border dialogues to ensure diverse perspectives are integrated into the development of solutions for the regions.
Conflict Prevention, Management and Peacebuilding
The Samaritan Caucus Africa is cognizant of the role of conflict in escalating human insecurity. To address the various conflicts facing the continent, SCA emphasizes on structural peace as key to promoting conflict prevention, management and peacebuilding. The Forum works with various stakeholders to address the root causes of conflict and inequality by promoting creation of just and equitable societal structures and institutions.
Democratic Governance and Development
Democratic governance is key to unlocking transparency and accountability particularly in the public sector. S.C.A. collaborates with government institutions and ministries to advocate for democratic governance that enables development and growth in the country. Additionally, SCA looks into Post Conflict Reconstruction of states that have been affected by conflicts
Training and Capacity Building
SCA has developed training and capacity building packages that are tailored towards response to the needs of its clients based on focus areas of choice. The training categories include skill development, leadership and management, compliance and safety, team and job-specific training.
One of our training packages entails global citizenship skills. Skills emanating from from this package are critical for all stakeholders since it is envisaged to enable respective workforce be prepared to face and handle the changing world order. Additionally, it will help individuals understand the global citizenship dynamics and how to benefit from it.
Gender Mainstreaming and Youth Inclusion

Economic Security and Inclusion
Economic security is one of the pillars of human security. SCA conducts high-quality, evidence-based research that addresses critical economic challenges that informs policy decisions for a sustainable and equitable society.
The Forum also works with actors in the spaces such as Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU-Kenya) to identify gaps in the polices affecting economic security in the country. Respective packages include advocacy and training for personnel to ensure inclusivity in the implementation of economic policies in the country.
Climate Justice, Migration and Environmental Protection
SCA conducts research and promotes innovation and partnerships to address issues that arise at the intersection of climate injustice, migration and environment protection. Under this thematic area, SCA collaborates with other entities to strengthen global networks and amplify the impact of policy advocacy.
Human Rights and Social Justice
SCA is committed to promoting human rights and social justice by strengthening human rights and social justice spaces by tracking trends and offering reliable alternatives to the existing traditional processes. The Forum is keen on protective restorative justice as a conflict resolution and peace buildling approach.

SCA assists organizations and entities develop a comprehensive communication strategy that not only amplifies their work to ensure it communicates to the target audience but also ensue the success of their projects. The Forum uses strategic thinking and a multidisciplinary approach in crafting strategic communication plans for its clients.
